Wasp Vs. Bee by TheFantasyMaker2 Wasp Vs. Bee by TheFantasyMaker2
I was tracking a Wasp during a macro shooting in the garden, when suddenly the wasp stopped at a flower in front of me, the wasp somehow targeted the bee from a distance and approached it with lightning speed, the bee was hopeless. So similar in shape yet different in soul, human story told by nature.

The contrast between the wasp and bee is brilliantly emphasised in the vivacity of the former. With stunning detail and colours, TheFantasyMaker2's Wasp Vs. Bee is an excellent photograph capturing the interaction between two insects. ( Featured by 3wyl )

boy do I hate wasps so much, at least bees aren't as nasty and actually produce honey and pollinate

Really beautiful picture, I love the bright blurred background and the startling clarity of the wasp and the bee up close. It's nice to see their difference like this with them in the same picture. I like bees much more than wasps, but for this wasp I do love the bright yellow legs that fade to black as they connect with its body.

The bee is already dead since this kind of wasp wont/can't kill them itself, they tend to pick up dead ones.

no, the bee isn't dead, I was following the wasp all around and then he went to a bees area and he jumped over one of the bee drinking from the flower or what ever it was doing. it was realy somthing rare to spot.

not much, as soon as that wasp grabbed that bee, she stoped moving and surrenderd.

Thats very weird they usually fight like hell, wonder what species the wasp was, I can't find anything similar online especially since this one is so small.

Yup, wasps tend to like meat for their young (dead insects hamburger), they like sweet (nectar, sugar beer ect) for themselves.

Thanks.I saw that you keep apiaries so you must know a fair bit.I have lots of bees and wasps around ( I have lots of different flowers in my garden)and I have noticed the wasps as well as bees going from flower to flower but never interacting like that in the photo that is why I found it so unusual. All the best ( looks like a great part of the world you live in!)

I do love my country "a bit cold atm though", only reason I know anything about honey bees is cause I keep a few colonies. Beekeeping is supposed to be a big thing in Australia, last I heard they are mite free.
